    Ray Stata was a cofounder of Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) in 1965 and served as CEO and Chairman until 1996. He now serves as Chairman of the Board. With sales of $2.5B, ADI is recognized for leadership in the design and manufacture of analog and digital signal processing semiconductors.

    In addition to his leadership role at Analog Devices, Mr. Stata has been involved with a wide range of successful technology startups. Mr. Stata is also active in the high technology industry and in public service. He serves on the Board of the Semiconductor Industry Association. As co-founder and the first President of the Massachusetts High Technology Council, Mr. Stata advocated that engineering education and university research funding were a shared responsibility of government and industry. At the federal level, he served on the Executive Committee of the Council on Competitiveness from 1987 to 2005. Mr. Stata's service on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Overseers stemmed from his professional commitment to total quality management. He was also a founder of the Center for Quality of Management in 1989.

    A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Mr. Stata holds BSEE and MSEE degrees and is now Chairman of the Visiting Committee of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. In 1984 he was elected to MIT's Corporation (Board of Trustees) and today is a member of its Executive Committee. He also served as President of the MIT Alumni Association.

     


    Dr. Xiaolin Wang is the key inventor of Axis core technology. He has held key roles in successful startups, and has over 20 years of experience in semiconductor and electronics system design.

    Before joining Axis as a cofounder, Dr. Wang worked for Analog Devices as the Chief Technologist of the Mobile TV Joint Design Laboratory, a collaboration project between Analog Devices and Legend Silicon in Shanghai China. Prior to that role, Dr. Wang was a Senior Staff Engineer in the High Speed Signal Processing Business Unit, where he worked on various large-scale digital system and IC development projects for different applications including Wireless LAN, Cable Modem, etc.

    Prior to joining Analog Devices, Dr. Wang worked at the networking company Axiowave as the Chief Switch Architect. At Axiowave, he was responsible for the overall hardware architecture of a patented core router design that enables the construction of a packet network with guaranteed bandwidth, delay and packet drop rate. He also worked at Digital Equipment Corporation and a number of telecommunications start-ups.

    Xiaolin Wang has a MSEE and a PhD from University of Arizona at Tucson. He received his BS in Physics from Fudan University in Shanghai.

     


    Ms. Qian Wu joined Axis Semiconductor with 9 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.

    Before joining Axis as a cofounder, Ms. Wu worked for Analog Devices as the Business Manager of the Mobile TV Joint Design Laboratory, a collaboration project between Analog Devices and Legend Silicon in Shanghai China. The design lab developed reference designs for China's emerging mobile TV market. Prior to that assignment, Qian Wu served as an Advanced Development Manager for Analog Devices, exploring emerging markets and recommending growth strategies for Analog in these new technology and application areas. Prior to that role, Ms. Wu was a Senior Business Strategist in ADI's sales and marketing organization.

    Prior to ADI, Ms. Wu worked for Kodak as a business analyst and International Telecommunication Satellite (INTELSAT) as a test and integration engineer.

    Ms. Wu received her BSEE degree from McGill University. She also earned an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and MSEE from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she was a Leaders for Manufacturing Fellow.

     


    Bob Carson is the Founder and Managing Director of NorthStar Advisors, LLC in Waltham, Massachusetts, which provides family office services to ultra high net worth individuals. Prior to founding NorthStar, Mr. Carson was the tax partner in charge of Personal Financial Counseling Services at Ernst & Young, LLP in Boston. He has been providing sophisticated tax, investment and financial solutions to top corporate executives, closely held business owners, and high net worth individuals for more than twenty-five years.

    An Attorney and Certified Financial Planner, Mr. Carson is a member of numerous professional organizations and actively involved with several not for profit groups, including having served as National Chairman of the American Heart Association. Mr. Carson received his B.S. in Accounting from Bentley College, his JD from New England School of Law and his LLM in Taxation from Boston University School of Law.
